This was the first year the event took on the name “The Amherst Island Folk Festival”

(we count it from year one, 2005, when it started out as the AIR Lamb and Pig Roast… there was more music by 2008 than food, and so it only seemed fitting to call this the fourth year).

A web site was put up, and AIFF joined the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals.

Held on the back deck of The Lodge on Amherst Island, this year started about 2pm and finished at 8pm.  The weather was spectacular.  An Ontario Trillium Foundation grant for CJAI was presented at the event to the members of the Board of Directors.
